An esthetician would typically not massage a client's back as part of a standard facial treatment or esthetic service. Facial treatments are specifically designed to care for the skin on the face, neck, and décolleté, which involves techniques that focus on these areas to promote relaxation, improve circulation, and enhance the overall appearance of the skin.

Massaging the back, however, is generally associated with therapeutic and bodywork modalities used by licensed massage therapists rather than estheticians.
